Final burial of Olori Wosilah Aweni Mosobalaje of Mosobalaje Dynasty of Oluponna in Aiyedire South Local Council Development Area of Osun State, who died on May 6, 2025, at the age of 87, will hold on Saturday, June 14, at DC Primary School, Oluponna, Osun State at 10a.m.
She is survived by HRM Alayeluwa Oba Abdul Rafiu Oyekanmi Mosobalaje Bamigboye11 Ilufemiloye Ariwajoye1, Olupo Of Oluponna land; Aremo Wale Mosobalaje, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Olori Mosobalaje (nee Ejidiya Ejiniran) was born in Oluponna in Ayedire South Local Council Development Area of Osun State, Nigeria, in 1938 to the noble family of the late Pa Ejidiya and Mrs. Ajekiigbe Ejidiya (both of blessed memory) of the family compound of Ile Aro Oju Oja (Aro- Olufayo).
She was the third surviving child of her parents and last born of the family of girls and a baby boy. His father was a successful farmer, and her mother was a petty trader, who was well-known in the community with a nickname (Iya Aro).
The late Olori Mosobalaje did not have the opportunity to attend a school, rather, she was made to follow her mother and learn petty trading. Indeed, she ventured into many petty works, but the one which is so prominent was Akara (bean cake), hence, she was called Iya Alakara till her.
At her ripe age, she got married to a noble Prince of Ayelabowo dynasty, the late Prince Abdul Yekeen Akanji Mosobalaje (Moluberin Oluponna land). The union was blessed with two boys and a girl.
