All is set for the Sunday official grand opening of Hawthorn Suites, Abuja. Located in the heart of city, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham boasts of an array of luxuriously furnished suites. The hospitality facility, which is owned and operated by Shelter Suites & Hotels Limited, is a member of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, an international hotel and resort chain based in the United States of America.

Although the 108 suites facility was originally completed in 2009 and commenced operations in 2010, the official grand opening, according to the management, has become necessary following a major renovation exercise on the structure, which lasted for about two years. “This grand opening comes necessary after completing a multi-million dollars renovation exercise that the hotel has been undergoing for the last two years.

“This investment comes from our belief in creating value. We value the guests that stay with us and we also value our employees who are the reason for our success”, says the General Manager, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Amine Saad. Speaking further on the importance of the scheduled grand opening to both management and guests, the Director of Sales, Bamishe Ogundare, stated that at the takeoff of operations about eight years ago, there was no official opening of the facility.

“The owners did not perform the official grand opening ceremony when they started business in 2010, but when the renovation exercise was carried out on the facility and we saw that it was a total facelift, we felt it is wise for the media, our customers and our guests to know about the new Hawthorn brand. “It is a golden opportunity for us to do a massive grand opening ceremony so that people will know of the new facilities we have put in place for customers and guests’ comfort”, he said.

The hotel, which is located within the ever busy Area 11 axis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), could best be described as operating in a class of its own.Although, it has preferred to be on the quite side all along, the hospitality outfit takes pride in the state-of-the-art facilities that are not very common among conventional hotels.

According to Ogundare, the outfit also distinguishes itself in its ability to provide quality and prompt service delivery to customers and guests.“Ours is less of checking in and more of moving in. With the facilities in the room, it is as if a customer is moving into an apartment. With that, we guarantee extended comfort.“Our rebranding story goes beyond massive structure and inbuilt facilities. They go along with speedy response to customer’s request, keeping to time and giving no excuses”, Ogundare added.

Beyond the lodging capacity, the facility is further equipped with a 2,000 capacity grand ballroom, 70 and 40 sitters capacity restaurants, conference rooms and ample parking space.Expected to perform the official commissioning tomorrow is the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai. Meanwhile, General Abdulsalam Abubakar will serve as the Chairman of the occasion while the Emirs of Suleja, Alhaji Awwal Ibrahim and Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago would be attending as Royal Fathers of the Day.
