Enter SG Storms Wado
Fast rising Selom Oke Eruedoja popularly known by his stage moniker, SG, has released his single accompanied with a video, titled Wado, which is simply a form of greetings or an acknowledgement in the Niger Delta.
For the media publication graduate from University of Buckingham, England, who started music in 2010, his decision for the title of the song was his desire to go back home…“I wanted to do it in the traditional way. Doing music is something I have been dreaming of right from childhood,” he said.
He added, “While growing up, I used to watch Michael Jackson’s videos and that influenced me musically. I also listened to a lot of foreign artistes and that helped me made up my mind to be better than them.”
Describing his experience in the music industry, SG said, “It has been good; life is full of ups and down, music requires a lot of hard work. You have to be focused and determined to make it in the industry. You must have direction as well; I am moving forward gradually.”
“I was with another label before I met Kelvin in 2015 and decided to work with his record label, Big Time Entertainment. Creating awareness that you are here is quite difficult; it is peculiar to every new artiste. As an up coming act, you have to work extra hard to get there. At times, I sleep in the studio just to make sure my song(s) is ready.”
According to the chief executive officer of Big Time Entertainment, Kelvin Richman, who originally was a music promoter, before floating the record label that has other promising artistes including Ondo born and French tutored act, KDF Williams, whose new single, Cinderella is rocking the airwave.
