An online platform for running errands, Helpmewaka primarily tailored to execute tasks in Nigeria and Ghana on behalf of Diasporans and locally based people with busy schedule, has continued to add premium value in their area of expertise, thus freeing up time for errand senders to enhance their daily productivity without apprehension.

Founded by two Nigerian Partners based in the US; Olumide Ashiru-Balogun and Doyin Akinnurun and officially launched in 2019, this one of a kind online errand platform has proven in a short time to solve the herculean challenge of executing tasks in the aforementioned countries, which hitherto had been a nightmare for those in the Diaspora.

From the delivery of groceries to families and loved ones, securing of University and WAEC transcripts, to legalisation of documents, property verification among other things, Helpmewaka has efficiently run these errands as requested by Diasporans.

According to Ashiru-Balogun, “From the onset, we identified the challenges that Diasporians had, ourselves inclusive. We noticed those tasks which were meant to be simple had become very stressful to carry out. For instance to get groceries across to my mum I had to call nephews, nieces to run the errands. To get transcripts was actually a nightmare. You would need to knock on the doors of the Records’ office several times before they would work on your case and send it to the right destination. We set up helpmewaka to proffer solutions to these problems and more encountered by Diasporans.”

For Akinnurun, running errands as simple as it sounds requires time, expertise and resources. Our values of integrity, trust, accountability and understanding the plight of our clients, has helped us successfully navigate chartered and uncharted waters. We know that if we don’t step in and attend to certain critical needs, they might not be able to go to school, resolve immigration issues, take care of loved ones, and legalise documents in Abuja among other things. We are elated that people trust helpmewaka to run their errands.”

Helpmewaka upholds a secure transaction system, screens vendors and works for the progress of people. It is poised to become a global phenomenon.
