Raising Young Speakers 003 happened over the weekend and it was simply mind blowing. Five pupils of the Young Public Speakers (YPS) Club launched and exhibited amazing items. Two of the kids (Folajimi and Omodara) presented wonderful paintings that thrilled all that saw them. And just when we all thought we had got the best of the group, the third exhibitionist, 8-year old Dideolu, wowed everyone with his 218-word kiddie’s pictorial dictionary.

Added to this was Misi, who unveiled her music album. The brilliant sounds and lyrics kept guests on the dance floor for long. But that was not all there was to show for the day. As 6-year old Mojola, gave us a fashion treatment, with the uncovering of her mini fashion parlour.

Speaking to journalists at the end of the event, the organisers, Adeniyi and Josephine Oluwajobi, explained that the project which started about four years ago aims at discovering the potentials in young people and train them to use them for their own good. “Members are assisted to uncover and develop their special abilities.

Annual projects are executed under the guidance of a renowned mentor in that specific area of ability. All our activities are geared towards making any member to rise to stardom. They are trained to be the best and nothing less,” says Mr. Adeniyi.
