Shina Peters Excites Guests At Love Rendezvous

Afro Juju creator, Sir Shina Peters, was at his best recently, as he headlined this year’s Love Rendezvous hosted by the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja in celebration of valentine season.

SSP, as he’s fondly called, thrilled guests with his trademark dance moves that got many swinging to his beat. At the end of his energetic performance, the musician, while responding to questions from the audience boasted that an old woman never gets old in a music she knows best.

“My age has nothing to do with the way I dance; it’s in me, I can never stop doing it. I may be getting old by age but I am still young at heart. Afro Juju is what I initiated; it comprises high tempo music with rigorous dancing step and that is the way I will continue to dance it my age notwithstanding” he said.

Meanwhile, the audience, mostly made up of couples, were very elated by the nostalgic experience the music brought. The veteran musician didn’t cease to render some of the crowd’s favourite songs from the albums he released in the 1990s as they continued to ask for more.

It was indeed a night to remember as other musicians such as Jaywon and popular female act, Onos treated the guests to the best of their recording in celebration of the season od love. This year’s Love Rendezvous also featured a comedy dinner with Gbenga Adeyinka, a spectacular evening of music and comedy.

Apart from the fact that the event was packaged by the hotel to reinforce its overall brand promise of providing its clients with hospitality with grand attention, it also stood out to promote celebration of love in a very exclusively mature and exquisite atmosphere.
