University Of Wolverhampton Inaugurates Nigeria Alumni Association

At a recent dinner held at the Sheraton Hotels & Towers, Lagos, the Associate Dean, Faculty of Health, Sports and Wellbeing, Dr Anne Hollinshead inaugurated two committees of the Association — Legal and Planning Committee, and Membership Committee. Messrs Luke Eromosele and Adewale Oke, were appointed chairman of the committees respectively.

Also, the University has indicated its interest to support capacity building in the Nigerian health care sector. Hollinshead made this known during a courtesy visit to the deputy governor of Lagos State, Dr Oluranti Idiat Adebule.

Hollishead identified capacity building as a vital strategy to improve service delivery and enhance the wellbeing of the people. She iterated the commitment of the University to work with government agencies and relevant organisations to build mutually rewarding partnership and exchange of knowledge and skills.

While receiving the delegation from the University on behalf of the deputy governor, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Lagos, Mrs. Olabisi Ariyo, restated the commitment of the governor Akinwunmi Ambode led Government to improve the lives of the people of Lagos State through access to health care and quality education.
