UBACup holders, UBA and former champions, Skye Bank will all be in action as the 2015 Nigeria Bankers Games football event kicks off Saturday at the newly commissioned ultra modern Digital Bridge Institute (formerly known as the NITEL Training Ground, Oshodi.

The Bankers games holds the distinction of being the first official tournament to hold on the ground since it was commissioned and this year’s edition promises no less excitement and competition than the previous editions which has remained the reference point in Corporate Nigeria games.

UBA, which regained the football event title from Skye Bank after four years, will open their cup defense in a fixture against Sterling Bank on match day 1 that will also feature two other games. 

Jimmy Sogbesan, Executive Director, Projects and Activations at MediaVision, organizers of the games disclosed that the day will commence with an elaborate opening ceremonies featuring dance, music and March past by the competing banks.

“We have laid out an elaborate ceremony to herald the events consistent with our commitment to making the Bankers Games remain the frontline Corporate Nigeria sporting event. This time, we will treat participants to an afternoon of music, dance and choreography that will delight all. Of course, there will be the traditional march past on the day”, Sogbesan announced.
