OrganiSers of the Abesan Cup have named Ferscoat Schools, Olude, Ipaja Lagos, Ponle Ademola, Tee & Tife Oil, Seba Osoko, Kazeem Ajani, Sanema Sutton of Ministry of Education, Oluwaseyi Adetola of First Registrars, and Dr. Omobayo Raheem, Dean Students’ Affairs Yabatech, as the 2015 awardees of the yearly competition.

According to the coordinator of the Abesan Cup, Tayo Adeyemo, the awardees are individuals and organisations that have supported Nigerian Youths through sports.

All the awardees will be honoured during the 2015 final billed for July 26 at Alade Stadium, Ikola near Ipaja.

Meanwhile, one of the patrons of the competition, Dr. Margaret Kudirat Ladipo, has called on the two finalists, Rozie FC and Igando Academy to imbibe the spirit of fair play during the final game.
 
Ladipo, who doubles as the Rector of Yaba College of Technology, appealed to patriotic Nigerians and corporate bodies to support Nigerian youths through sports, adding, child delinquency and other social vices could be curbed if sports activities were supported.
