Adebutu pledges support for Wheelchair basketball

Basketball enthusiast, Ladi Adebutu Kessignton, has pledged financial commitment to the Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball team preparing for the qualifying series for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

The Nigerian team will in September participate at the Olympics qualifier holding in Algeria and Kessington, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, says he will support the team participate in the qualifiers, which will determine whether the country will feature in the sport at the Olympics.

Kessington, who has been involved in the activities of the federation, says, “it will be a thing joy for every Nigerian to see your team at the Olympics and as such, I want you to go to Algeria and pick the Olympics ticket.”

Speaking on Kessington’s support to his federation, President, Nigeria Wheelchair Basketball Federation, Bukola Olopade, thanked the legislator for his support, while assuring him that Nigeria will qualify for the Olympics.

“We thank Ladi Adebutu Kessignton for his kind support to the federation and most importantly for associating with the special sports athletes. This shows that he is truly the man of the people and lover of sport,” Olopade said.
