Agbakoba, Banwo/Ighodalo Maintain Lead

PACE SETTERS, Olisa Agbakoba & Co. and Banwo/Ighodalo at the weekend maintained their stranglehold on top of groups A and B logs of the on-going Bankole Olumide Aluko (BOA) Lawyers League, which enters its sixth week today.

Olisa Agbakoba has 10 points from four matches to top Group A, which has Tayo Oyetibo after five matches in second position with nine points, while Probitas Partners/B. Ayorinde is third on the log with seven points from four games.

Babalakin, Olajide Oyewole, UUBO and Aelex have six, four and two points each to occupy the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh positions respectively.

In Group B, Banwo & Ighodalo has a 100 per cent record as it has won all its four games to lead the group on 12 points. Aluko & Oyebode, which has played five matches, also has 12 points, but it occupies the second position on the strength of its inferior goals difference with the leaders.

Former champion, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, is third on the log with seven points from four games. It has the same number of points as Tokunbo Oriyomi, which, however, is placed fourth due to its inferior goals difference.

Ricky Tarfa, Pinheiro & Co. and Advocaat occupy the fifth, sixth and seventh positions respectively on three and zero points each.

At the weekend, Babalakin and Probitas/B. Ayorinde ended their match on a 1-1 note, while Advocaat lost 1-3 to the Lagos Ministry of Justice.
