Akas, Ekpai, lead 28 others to camp, as Siasia resumes training for Rio 2016 Olympics

Captain of the Home-based Eagles team to the Rwanda 2016 CHAN, Chima Akas, and Akwa United’s prolific striker, Ubong Ekpai, are among 30 players drawn for the Nigerian Professional Football League, who will soon resume camping for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

According to a list release by Head Coach of the U-23 national team, Samson Siasia, also, in the list of invited players are goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel, Erhun Obanor, Stanley Dimgba, Kufre Ebong, Ndifreke Effiong and Daniel Etor.

Also, among the invited players, who are expected to arrive the Starview Hotel, Gwarimpa Estate Abuja camp of the team today, are Godwin Obaje, Julius Emiloju, Ifeanyi Mathew, Kabiru Moshood and Harrison Ibukun.

The invited players, according to thenff.com, are expected to arrive the camp with their international passports. Training while training. The team will begin training for the Olympics tomorrow.

Coach Siasia and his crew are expected to look at the players and decide which of them qualify to join their foreign-based counterparts in the final training camp later this year before the Olympics, which begins in August.
