All set for final of GTBank Lagos Principals Cup

The Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, will witness an unusual crowd on Wednesday, May 20, when students from different parts of the state converge for the grand finale of this year’s GTBank-Lagos Principals Cup.

The Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, will witness an unusual crowd on Wednesday, May 20, when students from different parts of the state converge for the grand finale of this year’s GTBank-Lagos Principals Cup.

Birrel Avenue Senior High School, Sabo, will clash with Keke High School, Ijaye, for the trophy and cash at stake in the male category, while Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, will square up against Ikotun Senior High School in the female category.

Sports-loving Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State will lead a strong government delegation to the final.

Apart from the government team, the sponsors, GTBank, will also be fully represented by top hierarchy of bank at the venue.

Ikotun Senior High School female football team zoomed into the final after beating Government Senior College, Agege 3-1 at the Onikan Waterfront.

It is bound to be a spectacle as the finalists are made of exceptional players, who have proven their mettle in the run up to the final.

Birrel Avenue Senior High School came from behind to beat Ikorodu Senior High School 2-1 in a thrilling semifinal encounter.

Similarly, the GTBank Ogun State Principals Cup finals will be decided at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, on Thursday June 11.
