Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema returned to training on Monday after three weeks out with a thigh injury, the club has confirmed. Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema returned to training on Monday after three weeks out with a thigh injury, the club has confirmed.
Benzema missed the majority of pre-season due to the injury and his presence was missed as Madrid could only manage a 0-0 draw away to Sporting Gijon in Rafael Benitez’s first competitive game in charge on Sunday.
The French international is expected to return to action when Los Blancos host Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
