Nigeria winger, Moses Simon, has declared that Premier League club, Brentford, are lucky to have his academy graduate, Benjamin Fredrick, in their ranks.
Fredrick is set to break into Brentford’s first team for the 2025-26 campaign following his dazzling performance for the club’s youth team last season.
He won the U21 Premier League with the Bees youth team and he was named Brentford B team Players’ Player of the Year.
Ahead of the season, Simon believes the best is yet to come from the 20-year-old whom he described as an all-round player.
The duo were recently reunited in May as they played together in Nigeria’s victory over Jamaica to lift the 2025 Unity Cup at Brentford’s G-tech Stadium.
Simon told RG Media, “Playing alongside Fredrick in the Nigeria jersey was a proud moment for me and our club [Simoiben].
“He is a very good talent, and the future looks very bright for him. Brentford are lucky to have him because he is an all-round hardworking young boy.
“I will be following his development with unwavering support as a proud mentor.”
Simon also opened up on the organisational structure of the Simoiben Academy as he prepares to leave FC Nantes for the newly-promoted Ligue 1 club, Paris FC.
“My wife is the president of the academy, and I am more of a sponsor and mentor to the young boys.
“She oversees the daily operations and organisational structure,” he said.
