CAF, Qatari Football Association to sign cooperation agreement
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Qatari Football Association (QFA) are to sign a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, May 6.
This is contained in a statement issued by cafonline.com on Sunday.
It said that the signing ceremony would hold at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, at 15:30 hours local time.
The statement said stated that the agreement would run for an initial period of five years and can be renewed.
CAF said the agreement would provide for exchange of experiences and capacity building in areas of sports medicine, refereeing, administration, development, training, management, infrastructure, women’s football and futsal.
It stated that the new cooperation agreement with the Qatari Federation was another milestone by Africa’s continental governing body aimed at fostering overall football development strategies for Africa.
It noted that the cooperation agreement would be added to the existing partnerships linking CAF with FIFA, UEFA, CONCACAF and the English Football Association
