D’Tigress FIBA Afrobasket feat thrills Kida
Nigeria Basketball Federation’s (NBBF) Caretaker Committee Chairman, Musa Kida, has praised the courage and determination of the D’Tigress, who recently retained the FIBA Afrobasket crown in Cameroun.
Kida said the team displayed patriotism and zeal, which enabled them to clinch the title for the third time in a row.
He said the NBBF is delighted with the team’s performance, adding that the federation will continue to support women basketball in Nigeria.
“These girls have demonstrated patriotism by ensuring this trophy returned to Nigeria for the third time.
“Winning it three times consecutively is legendary.
“For us at NBBF, we will continue to support all our women national teams.”
Kida assured the team of greater support at the 2022 FIBA World Championship, where Nigeria will represent Africa as continental champions.
