Eight teams qualify for MRS U-12 Kids Cup semifinals

Eight teams, including Greater Tomorrow FC, Ajah and Zamadek Babes of Isolo, have qualified for the boys and girls’ semifinals of the on-going third edition of the MRS U-12 Kids Cup, which holds today at the Ojo Oniyu playing ground, Ebute Metta.

In the boy’s category, Greater Tomorrow FC, Ajah, will slog it out with B-Unit of, Surulere, while Solution Boys, Apapa, will meet Zamadek Babes FC of Isolo.
  
In the girls category, Yomi Queens, Ajah, will face Pepsi Babes of Oworo, while Tao Queens of Ibeju Lekki will challenge Vije Girls FC of ketu for the final ticket.
  
Speaking on the tournament, the Lagos Managing Director, MRS Oil Nigeria, Paul Bissohong, said, “as a corporation, we strive to contribute our quota in raising future young stars through the organization of this grassroots football tournament. It is expected that this year’s edition will also witness an increase in the number of children participating in the tournament.
 
“The competition is strictly for pupils’ currently in schools and under the age of 12 at the date of commencement of the football event,” he stated.
  
The final match will hold at the Campos Mini Stadium come children’s day, May 29.
