Ex-Golden Eaglets coach, Sebastian Brodericks-Imasuen laid to rest
Former handler of the Golden Eaglets, the late coach Sebastian Brodericks-Imasuen, was laid to rest in Benin City, Edo State, yesterday, with Internationals and his former club, Bendel Insurance FC playing a commemorative match in his honour at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The match, which held before his burial, featured some notable retired footballers discovered by the late ‘Sabara’, as he was fondly called, as the head coach of the Golden Eaglets, from 1985 to 1989.
They include Victor Ikpeba, Benedict Akwuegbu, Nduka Ugbade, Nasiru Jubril, Jonathan Akpoborire, Binebi Numa, Baldwin Bazuaye, Tony Emedofu and Godwin Okpara.
