AS part of efforts to develop and create more awareness in the game of rugby, My Family Mobile, has declared that the company will be sponsoring 50 children and 20 officials to the Tag rugby festival slated to hold in September next year in England.

According to the management of the security technology out fit, the company’s target is to train children on the skills of rugby at their formative years through it grassroots sports initiative, tagged: “All Rugby Elite Development Programme 2016 League Mach.”

Speaking to The Guardian at the weekend, programme coordinator of the elite development programme, Oluseyi Opanubi, stated that four primary schools, Chrisland, Corana, Temple, British International School and some selected secondary schools will be taking part in the tag rugby league. He disclosed that My Family Mobile will be responsible in providing coaches and logistics needed for training the children.

“My Family Mobile is a company that deals fit family safety, as part of our effort to develop the game of rugby in Nigeria, the company decided to train children in Tag rugby and make them compete against themselves. Tag rugby is different from the main rugby, which requires body contact.

“The whole exercise is to teach the kids the rudiments of the game at a tender age. At the end of the league, about 50 children drawn out of different primary and secondary schools will be sponsored by the company to the Tag rugby festival in England next year. The whole initiative is to develop the children in all area of their lives,” he said.
