DESPITE beating North Korea 4-0 yesterday in the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup, former Super Eagles star, Mutiu Adepoju, says the Flying Eagles need to keep fighting hard to win their remaining matches.

Adepoju, who praised the team for putting up a good performance against North Korea, said the Flying Eagles would excel in the championship if they maintained tactical discipline and play like a team.

He explained that the victory over North Korea was a clear indication that the national U-20 team have overcome the loss against Brazil in the opening encounter.

The former Flying Eagles midfielder called on Coach Manu Garba to make the right selection of players in every game, adding, “Their victory against South Korea is a sign that the team is ready to go far in the championship.

But they should realize that as the championship progresses they will meet tougher opposition and approaching every game with tactical discipline would assist them succeed in the championship. Based on the past performance of the Flying Eagles, I think the boys have what it takes to deliver.”
