Nigeria will do everything possible to defeat Congo in their last group game of the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Dar es Salaam. Nigeria were knocked out of the championship following two losses to Senegal (0-1) and Sudan (0-4) in Zanzibar.
Today in Dar es Salaam, the Super Eagles B will meet Congo in their last game of the competition, being co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Chelle said that his team will step onto the pitch with pride as their main motivation, adding that their aim is to leave East Africa with their heads high.
“We made a lot of mistakes in the previous games, and the tournament is done, but we need to go back with something.
“It’s important that we show character and finish the competition in a way that reflects who we are,” he said. The match against Congo will be held at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, with kick-off set for 6.00 p.m. Nigerian time.
