Vinicius Jr, Bonmati Shine at 2024 Globe soccer awards
The 2024 Globe Soccer Awards, held in Dubai on Friday, celebrated the achievements of football’s finest across various categories, marking the 15th anniversary of the prestigious event.
Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr stole the spotlight, winning both the Best Men’s Player and Best Forward awards. Speaking after his victory, he said, “This recognition motivates me to keep pushing boundaries and achieving more for my team and fans.”
Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmati was named Best Women’s Player, while her teammate Lamine Yamal clinched the Best Emerging Player title. Bonmati expressed her gratitude, stating, “I’m honoured to receive this award, and it’s a reflection of our team’s hard work.”
Jude Bellingham, also of Real Madrid, took home the Best Midfielder award and the Maradona Award for Best Goalscorer. Carlo Ancelotti, recognised as Best Coach, attributed his success to his team’s unity. “This award is for everyone at Real Madrid. Together, we achieve greatness,” he said.

Cristiano Ronaldo, playing for Al Nassr, won the Best Middle East Player award. Other Middle East honours went to Jorge Jesus of Al Hilal (Best Coach) and Al Ain (Best Club).
The event also celebrated career milestones. Neymar Jr, Rio Ferdinand, and Thibaut Courtois received Player Career Awards, while Alessandro Del Piero and Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez were honoured with Special Career Awards.
