TWO Nigerian club sides taking part in the CAF Confederations Cup, Warri Wolves and Dolphins of Port Harcourt, will continue their build up for the competition today when they compete with others in the 2015 Multi-Sports pre-season tournament in Ibadan, Oyo State. It is the third edition of the competition.

Dolphins, who lost the 2014 Federations Cup final to Enyimba, finished bottom of the log at the just-concluded Super Six competition organised by the League Management Company (LMC) in Abuja. They are looking forward to making amends at the Multi-Sports Championship in Ibadan.

Dolphins are drawn in Group A alongside newly promoted Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Lagos-based Yobo FC and My People FC.

In Group B is Warri Wolves, who defeated Kano Pillars and Dolphins at the just ended Super Six contest in Abuja. They will compete alongside Sharks FC of Port Harcourt, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and non-league side, Freestan FC.

Two Lagos clubs, Yobo FC and My People FC will open the tournament billed for the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan.

El-Kanemi Warriors will trade tackles with Freestan FC, while Sharks will confront Warri Wolves. The Oluyole Warriors, 3SC, will battle Dolphins in the final game of the day.

Organisers of the Multi-Sports International pre-season tournament told The Guardian yesterday that the tourney is designed to help Nigerian clubs prepare adequately for their continental football engagements and the domestic leagues.
