Former international, Tajudeen Disu, has proffered solution to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) if the Super Eagles were to beat the Pharaohs of Egypt and qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Gabon.

The Eagles will be taking on the Pharaohs of Egypt in a two crucial qualifiers in Kaduna on March 25 and in Alexandra on March 29.

Speaking to The Guardian on Friday, Disu said the NFF must make sure that all logistics are made available to the team in order to achieve that victory in Kaduna.

“My advice is that the Nigeria Football Federation should put its house in order and make sure that everything is put in place, especially the match bonuses if they want the victory to be total. I know what I am talking about; I remember when I was the team manager of Gateway Football Club, Abeokuta. All I do is to show the players their match bonus; all I tell them is if you lose, I return the money back to government and you win, everything is yours to share.

“Tell me, who will see money and will want it returned to where it came from? That was the strategy then. You will not believe what followed thereafter! Of course, the players did all they could to make sure that the money never returned to the state government. That was what made Gateway FC of Abeokuta beat big clubs back then and we were able to win the league in the 2004 and 2005 season.”

And speaking on the competences of Coach Siasia and the other coaches in the technical crew, whether they can perform the magic by beating the highly technical side like Egypt in Kaduna and ensure that the game in Alexandra ended in a draw, the former captain of Abiola Babes, said: “Despite the short time after the exit of Coach Sunday Oliseh, which has put us in this tight corner, I still believe the coaches can do it. Siasia is a tested coach, so also the rest of the coaching crew. All that is required of them is to ensure that the players (because we have them) lift up their games and make sure they beat the Egyptians come March 25.

“I know it is not going to be an easy task, but the boys can do it. My only worry is on the part of the NFF, like I said before, let them do what is expected of them, which is to provide all the needed logistics. Let them show the players their winning bonuses and the assurance that they will get it as soon as the match ended. I am not saying all depends on money, but as a way of motivating them. At least, we all know that these boys earn good salaries in their respective clubs and when you also think about it, match bonuses too have also been an issue between the players and the NFF. I wish Siasia the best of luck,” the chairman of the newly inaugurated National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (Lagos Council)
 concluded.
