Globacom corporate subscribers, who recently returned from an all-expense paid trip to watch the live English Premiership match between Manchester United and Arsenal FC at the Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester, have described their trip as ‘a memorable experience.’

Globacom, official telecoms partner of Manchester United in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic, organized the trip to reward  its loyal top-end subscribers.

On the trip led by Glo’s Head, Corporate Sales, Kamaldeen Shonibare, were Managing Director of SB Telecoms, Afolabi Abiodun, Executive Director, Services/Company Secretary, Mid Western Oil, Chris Omoru, Group Head, Procurement and Services, Oando, Folahan Mudashiru, Head of I.T, Frigoglass, Babatunde Muftau, and Head of IT, MRS Oil Plc, Oghenekaro Ologe.

Shonibare explained that Globacom has received overwhelming support from the corporate sector since inception and that the trip was arranged in appreciation of their gesture. He asserted that Globacom will remain the network of choice for the corporate world and would continue to reward its teeming partners.

Manchester United officials received the team on arrival in Manchester after which they were checked into a five-star hotel, the Hilton Hotel Deansgate. A guide from the Manchester United FC took the delegates on a tour of the Old Trafford Stadium, where they were enlightened with glorious and entertaining, present and past facts of the club, lasting a few hours.

The Club officials showed the delegation round the stadium; the Dressing Room, the Dug Out where coaches and substitute players sit during matches, the tunnel leading to the pitch, the players’ lounge, including the museum which housed the various trophies Manchester United had won at both the continental and local level. The trophies include the Champions League, Carling Cup, English Premier League and FA Cup.

One of the high-points of the journey was the presentation of a customized jersey, endorsed by the Manchester United players to Mr. Ologe, Head IT, MRS, a gift for successfully predicting the Manchester United versus Arsenal match.

Speaking on the trip, Shonibare said: “This was just one of the numerous benefits enjoyed by Glo subscribers. I enjoin Nigerians yet to join the Globacom network to do so without delay for a delightful experience.”
