Greensprings School has reaffirmed its commitment to producing players for the national youth teams from its yearly football camp, which 12th edition is set to commence.

Highlighting its growing impact in producing young talents now representing Nigeria at the international level, the school announced during the week that its football development programme will hold from April 26 to May 1, 2026.

According to the school, the programme has trained over 2,200 children over the past decade, combining structured football education with mentorship and academic opportunity.

The initiative has strengthened the football ecosystem, with international coaches training over 200 Lagos State coaches, who now develop young talents across grassroots communities.

The long-term impact of the programme is becoming increasingly evident. Four alumni are currently playing in Europe while continuing their education, and five have represented Nigeria at the youth level.

Among the standout success stories are Jubril Azeez and Light Eke, who are currently part of the national U-17 level, further reinforcing the camp’s role in nurturing future national stars.

Greensprings School has awarded full academic scholarships to 13 outstanding participants, and ensured that talent is supported both on and off the pitch.

Speaking on the upcoming camp, the organisers highlighted its dual focus on sport and education, and positioned it as a platform that will nurture discipline, opportunity, and future success.

They disclosed that the camp is open to boys and girls from ages five to 17, adding that the 12th edition will feature experienced local and international coaches delivering structured sessions focused on technical skills, tactical awareness, and overall player development.
