Nigeria Chess Federation (NCF), yesterday, listed 20 players for the yearly National Chess Championship, Play and win chess which holds in Lagos from November 8 to 14.
According to a member of the NCF Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Bode Durotoye, Horse Betting Odds the 20 players comprise 10 men and 10 women. Among the players are current national champion, international master Daniel Anwuli, sports betting Olanrewaju Ajibola, Bomo Kigigha, Chukwunonso Oragwu, Akintoye Abdulraheem, Oluwafemi Balogun, Abimbola Osunfuyi, Odion Aikhoje and Isaac Okeke.
The invited ladies are Jessica Pelomoh, Deborah Akintoye (current champion), Ehoho Ogbiyoyo, Toritsemuwa Ofowino, Emmanuelle-Trust Enomah, Ayisha-Azuma Suleiman, Sandra Aramide, Oluwaseun Assa, Iyefu Onoje and Nkem Omishogbon, who got a wild card entry.
Durotoye also confirmed that the federation has appointed Orchid-Lekki Chess Club (OLCC) as the host of the championship.
“The selection of participating players was sure virtual betting based primarily on current FIDE ratings and top nine rated players in both the male and female categories as at 1st of September 2021,” he stated.
He added that an additional player is given wild card entry in both sections to complete the 10 entries, Play Chess Bet Games and Win Big! while two players in the section are on stand-by should any of the players invited decide to opt out of the competition.
