The NNPC Junior Tennis Masters has been scheduled to hold in Lagos from December 14 to December 19, the organisers have announced.

The tournament will round off a busy International Tennis Academy (ITA) Junior Tennis Circuit calendar for the year 2015 and, according to the organisers, it has been deliberately scheduled to coincide with the second week of the Lagos Governor’s Cup.

The tournament will feature three categories – boys and girls 12s, 14s and 16s.

ITA Director, Godwin Kienka said, “The idea is to have our best juniors come together, play their matches early and then move over to watch the professionals play at the satellite event.

“We hope that watching foreign players compete will help to inspire and motivate our juniors to redouble their effort to becoming good players.”

The first leg of the NNPC Junior Championships took place in Kaduna from November 3 to 8, 2015.
