The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has given its marketing arm, headed by Taiwo Koya, up till January 31, 2016 to get sponsors for the committee or lose its contract.

The NOC has also warned all its affiliates that their relationship henceforth would be determined by the results achieved by such associates, saying that the body would no longer allow any unproductive partner to drag it backwards.

Speaking at the 2015 NOC annual general meeting (AGM) attended by the various sports federations, Gumel lamented that after one year the committee was still begging for help from government and other corporates, saying the essence of appointing a marketer for its activities was to ensure the committee had the fund to run its affairs.
