Nomigo counts gains of African Basketball League
Lagos Warriors Basketball Club Coach, Chris Nomigo, says his team’s participation at the just concluded African Basketball League has exposed his players to more technicalities of the game.
Nomigo, who praised the organizers of the ABL for giving Nigerian players the opportunity to compete against other top basketball teams in Africa, said the league has created a high level of basketball awareness in Africa since making its debut in the continent.
He added that Lagos Warriors’ defeat by Abidjan Ramblers in the final game of the African Basketball League would spur the team to work harder to be on top of their game when the second season of the ABL resumes in October.
“Lagos Warriors will bounce back in the second season of the ABL. Losing against Abidjan Ramblers in the final game did not in any way affect the progress of the team. Participating in the ABL has opened doors for the players to gain more experience from their counterparts in other parts of Africa.
“I will do everything within my power to reposition the team. Lagos Warriors will excel next session,” he said.
