CHAN team beats Abuja club 3-0
President, Amaju Pinnick, has assured there is nothing to worry about on the health of Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, reports africanfootball.com.

Oliseh has been down with a viral infection and did not join the Eagles training camp in Abuja ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda, but Pinnick has maintained there is no cause for alarm.

“Sunday Oliseh is not feeling too well, but it is nothing to worry about and he is now undergoing therapy and he will be sound soon. He’s still excited about the job of rebuilding the national team,” the NFF chief said on a television programme yesterday.

Officials said Oliseh will join up with the team in Pretoria, South Africa.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles defeated Rising Stars Academy 3-0 in a test game yesterday in Abuja as they continued their preparation for the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda.

Sunshine Stars striker Tunde Adeniji opened scoring for the Eagles in the first half, before experienced midfielder Bartholomew Ibenegbu and Samson Gbadebo completed the scoring after the break.

The main team played the first half with the second team coming in for the second 45 minutes.

The Eagles are due to fly out to South Africa on Saturday to continue their buildup for the tournament reserved for players featuring in their home leagues.

Nigeria will open their CHAN campaign on January 18 against Niger.

They are also drawn in the first round with Tunisia and Guinea.
