Osimhen ruled out of Super Eagles friendlies against Ghana, Mali
Victor Osimhen will miss Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ two friendly games against Black Stars of Ghana and Eagles of Mali due to injury.
Osimhen was an unused substitute for Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Inter Milan at San Siro and barely trained in the days before the match.
According to Napoli coach, Francesco Calzona, Osimhen’s absence was due to an inflammation of the scar from an old injury.
The Nigerian is not on the list of players Napoli released on international duty.
Aside Osimhen, other Napoli players who will not be on international duty for their countries are Côte d’Ivoire’s Hamed Traore and Denmark’s Jesper Lindstrom.
Osimhen is the latest Super Eagles player that will miss the friendly games that will take place in Marrakech, Morocco.
Empoli defender, Tyronne Ebuehi, is also out of the games no thanks to injury.
The Eagles will take on Ghana on 22 March and on 26 March, they will square off against Mali.
