Rugby needs more sponsors in Nigeria, says Ladipo
Captain of Nigeria Rugby, Azeez Ladipo, has called on corporate organisations in the country to assist the game so as to create employment for Nigerian youths.
Ladipo noted that in other parts of the world, sports contribute largely to the human capital development based on the support they get from government and corporate entities.
The Cowrie RFC of Lagos player also stated that the interest shown by young men and women since rugby started in Nigeria, had proven that the sport will soon be popular like football in the future.
He however, praised the management of CMB Building and Investment company for their full support in ensuring the Nigeria Rugby league is sustained every year, adding that the league had assisted some domestic players to earn global recognition.
Ladipo assured that the Rugby national team (Black Stallions), would do every thing possible to excel at the coming Africa Championship slated for Morocco later in the year.
