StarTimes gets African Basketball League rights


basketball-shutterstock-5-3Basketball fans in the country will have a swell time to watch their favourite game, as StarTimes is delighted to announce the rights to show the best of African Basketball League (ABL) actions on the TRACE Sports Stars channel, which has commenced since March 4, 2016.

Included in the transmission is the All Star Games, play offs and behind the scenes shown live on TRACE channels and TRACE Sport Stars, the first global entertainment channel dedicated to the lives of stars in the world of sport.

Nigerian teams that inlude Lagos Islanders, Stallions and Lagos Warriors will join other Africa clubs Dakar Rapids from Senegal, Abidjan Ramblers from the Cote d’Ivoire and Izobe Basketball Club from Libreville in what will be nail biting matches.

Commenting on the new development, Michael Dearham, Managing Director of Media Department and VP-StarTimes Group said: “We are very excited to bring African basketball onto the StarTimes platform and believe the various matches will provide our sport loving subscribers with some high quality entertainment.”
