Sydney-based Nigeria professional boxer, Nestor Bolum, is back in the ring.

The Delta State-born Bolum, who retired after his last fight in November 2019, will face homeboy, Luke Martin, in a six-round contest on November 12 at Ravesby Workers’ Club. The fight will hold at 2B Bret Street, Ravesby, NSW 2212.

Speaking with The Guardian, yesterday, Bolum, an ex-Airforce officer, said, “I actually retired in 2019, but then my Father In the Lord, Pastor Theo Ajadi, talked me back from retirement.

“I was connected to my coach George Tannous, and he said I am too young to retire and that I have a lot to offer. We went back to training in 2019.”

On the November 12 contest, Bolum said: “I was told Luke Martin is very tough and has fought a lot of good boxers. We will see how tough and good he is when he comes up against me.

“It’s just a comeback fight to prepare me for a world title shot next year. There is not much money involved this time because we are just coming back to the ring after staying off for many years.

“I am looking forward to putting on a good show by the grace of God and I hope to put smiles on the faces of my fans.”
