Super-EaglesFormer Super Eagles captain, Henry Nwosu, has said that today’s 2017 Nations Cup qualifier against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania might be tough nut to crack for the Nigeria side.

Speaking with The Guardian yesterday, Nwosu noted that for the Coach Sunday Oliseh tutored side to come out victorious, they must play like a team.

The former national U-17 coach explained that Oliseh may have a big challenge in the qualifier since he didn’t have enough time to build a formidable squad before the trip to the East African country.

Nwosu however urged the Eagles to go for goals to avoid losing the game, which he said, could put the team in tight situation in the qualifiers. “The game against Tanzania will be tough for the Eagles.

Oliseh has not have enough time to organize the players to measure up with the pattern he wants them to play. “Also, most of this players are playing together for the first time, so, they might find it difficult to make accurate passes in this match. Wining matches away from home have been difficult for the Super Eagles.

They have to play like a team and should also take their chances at any point in time. Nigeria can win the game if our players are technically focused throughout the duration of the game,’’ Nwosu said.
