
Sodipo, who is the boss of Tee & Tife Oil, said the decision to sponsor the event is to provide a platform for pupils within the environs to exhibit their talents.
He said the competition will be a yearly event, which could go national while appealing to school owners to take advantage by registering their wards for the tournament.
Speaking on the benefit, Sodipo said the competition could serve as a hub for the Nigeria Football Federation to get the desired Under-17 national team players. The Tee & Tife chief, however, said the contest is part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility to the people of Alimosho Local Council.
Coordinator of the event and CEO of Wonderland Entertainment, Tayo Adeyemo, said the event will hold in in primary and colleges schools.
He assured that tough times await schools intending to use mercenaries during the competition, said adequate measures have been put in place to checkmate it.
According to Adeyemo, a total of N700,000, jersies, boots and medals are up for grabs and the draws holding at Saint Bernadette School Gowon Estate, Ipaja on January 27.
