Central Conference champion and their Western Conference counterparts are the top seeds of the boys and girls categories of the final round of the 17th Milo Schools Basketball Championship, which will hold in Lagos in June.

The annual Nestle Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship is a competition that creates a platform for Nigerian Youths to express their sporting talents and showcase their Basketball skills.

According to the organisers, this year, outstanding players selected from all the participating schools will form an All-Stars team that will represent Nigeria at the World College Basketball championship and any other international competition to be decided by the Nigeria Schools Sport Federation (NSSF).

The conference finals would feature states’ champions, which would converge on the designated venues to vie for honours and to earn tickets to the national final.

The champions from the 36 states and Abuja will slug it out in four conferences and the winner of each of the conferences will qualify for the national final. Two lucky losers will also qualify to play in the national finals.

The four conferences are Confluence Conference in Lokoja, Atlantic Conference in Benin City, Central Conference in Akure and Western Conference in Ibadan.
