We are ready for All Africa Games, NTF’s coach declares

National Tennis Federation (NTF) Coach, Mr. Rotimi Akinloye, has said the players currently in camp in preparation for the Congo 2015 All Africa Games have been responding positively to the demands of the technical crew ahead of the competition, which will hold from September 4 to 19.

Speaking to The Guardian yesterday, Akinloye said everything was on ground to ensure the players represented the country creditably, adding, however, that “after the trials, we will know our prospects; those probables that would make the team.”

According to Akinloye, “When we move to the second phase of the camping, we are going to stabilise everybody’s technics and understanding of the tactical of play. We just want to make sure that we have capables so that we can focus on the essentials.”

The coach said his team was not afraid of any opponent because “the strong countries have always been part of the All Africa Games. They were part of the All Africa Games in 2003, when we hosted and won three gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Just at the concluded All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique, we were privileged to win one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. ’’
