ARSENE Wenger is optimistic about Arsenal’s chances of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League at the expense of Olympiacos.

The Premier League side sit third in Group F, three points behind their midweek opponents, who beat them 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal must match or beat that 3-2 scoreline to book their place in the next round, making their 16th consecutive appearance in the knockout stages of the tournament.

“Personally the record means a lot because it’s important for the club and for the players,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website ahead of the crucial tie.

“I want to win and I want to qualify. Our job is to win the next game and do what is requested.

“There is one positive thing for us – we know exactly what we have to do. We know that we have to go for it from the start. So let’s do that and hopefully we can get through.
