Wesley battles Yejide in Western Conference final game

The girls’ final of the 18th Nestle Milo Secondary School Basketball Championship Western Conference will take place today at the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Lagos, with Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School, Lagos State, meeting Yejide Girls Grammar School, Ibadan.

In yesterday’s semifinals, Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School defeated Ugborikoko Secondary School, Warri, Delta State, 25 to 08 to qualify for the final of the championship, just as Yejide Girls Grammar School. Ibadan, Oyo State beat Anglican High School Ado, Ekiti State 36 to 16 points to qualify for the title match.

Speaking after yesterday’s semifinals, Yejide Girls coach, Yemi Abiodun, praised the players for their resilience and hard work.
