REPORTS in Germany suggest Wolfsburg could challenge Juventus for Schalke’s Julian Draxler.

The Bianconeri have been pursuing the playmaker all summer, but despite an agreement with the player, have yet to present a suitable offer to his club.

Wolfsburg are on the verge of selling Ivan Perisic to Inter, and are also expected to sell Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City for around €70m.

That would leave them short of options in attacking midfield, and Bild believes they could move for Draxler, who would cost around €30m.

Juve are still expected to present another offer for the 21-year-old before the end of the transfer window, and Schalke may prefer not to sell to a direct rival.
