TIGER Woods said he was feeling refreshed ahead of his return to action at the Greenbrier Classic yesterday. The former world number one missed the cut at the recent US Open, a performance that saw him slip to 220th in the world and continue his demise following years of injuries and off-course controversy.

Despite his issues, Woods has always remained upbeat about his form and even said he felt comfortable at Chambers Bay.
And, after taking some time off, he is now ready to get back on the course at Old White TPC and attempt to make the weekend.

The 39-year-old is looking forward to the challenge and has promised to once again play aggressively in White Sulphur Springs.

“I know what I am doing out here on the golf course,” he said. “I know what it feels like. I know where my game is and what progress I have or haven’t made. That’s what I’m concerned about.

“We’re going to have to go low. Right now as soft as it is and with the forecast the way it’s going to be with rain coming in, we’re just going to have make a bunch of birdies. Just keep kind of the pedal down and be aggressive. Just the way it’s going to work out this week.”

Meanwhile, Woods has denied reports he cheated on his former girlfriend with the ex-wife of a fellow professional golfer.
