Yejide Grammar School Ibadan, which picked the first semifinal ticket in the girls category of the ongoing Western Conference playoffs of the Nestle Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship at the indoor sports hall of the national Stadium, Lagos, will battle Anglican Girls High School, Ado Ekiti, in the first semifinal game today.

The Ibadan-based side defeated Regina Mundi Senior Secondary School Iwo, Osun State, 41 to 02 to grab the semifinals ticket.

Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School, Lagos, will also confront Ugborikoko Senior Secondary School Warri, Delta State, in the second semifinal.

In the boys’ category, Henson Demonstration School Benin, Edo State, recorded a clean sheet in the group stage by beating Greater Tomorrow International College Akoko, Ondo State, 48 to 11 in their last game, while Lagos-based side, Ilupeju Grammar School, defeated Greenland International Academy Abeokuta, Ogun State by 28 to 14 to pull through to the semifinal.

The boys’ semifinals pairing will feature Ilupeju Grammar School, Lagos, against Osadennis Mixed Secondary School, Asaba, Delta State, while Ado Grammar School, Ekiti State, will face Henson Demonstration School, Benin, Edo State, at the indoor sports hall of the National Stadium, Lagos.
