Immigration Basketball Club Coach, Bassey Kehinde, believes the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League is playing a great role in the growth of the girl child in Nigeria.

Praising Zenith Bank and the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) for their support over the years to the women basketball league, Kehinde said Nigerian women needed the best assistance from all sectors of the society to attain great heights. She, however, urged Zenith Bank and the NBBF to continue their relationship in the interest of the girl-child.

“I thank Zenith Bank for the good work they have done to a lot of Nigerian women basketball players.

“Since they came on board, the NBBF women league in the last 12 seasons have brought great impact on the standard of the league and the players. I am happy to have been part of the league since inception, as the league was without sponsor before the coming of Zenith Bank. Now must of the grassroots players discovered in the league play for the Nigeria national team.
