Motivational and life-coach author, Victoria Praise Abraham, recently handed to the world life manuals on living, as she recently launched two books, Life’s Little Lessons and The Tiny Big First Step. The launch which held at Terra Kulture, Lagos, featured readings and reviews of her books which teach the dos and don’ts of life and the effects of procrastination.

Chairman and chief launcher, Ikechi Odigbo, stated that the books should be viewed as clarion call to roll back negative trends in society.

According to him, “We live in a country where children are being taught by semi-literate teachers, where some of our university lecturers are ‘murderers’ of the English language because they are also victims of a poor educational system. We also live in a screen age where most of our youths who make up 70 percent of our total population spend four hours daily gazing at one screen or the other.

“We are in a very exponential age where we are having such a deluge of information wrapping and assaulting the minds of our young people, who find it difficult to read books and communicate appropriately. The noble art of writing and reading is being challenged significantly and is becoming an art that we all need to project and promote through our works and careers as Abraham has shown and is promoting. We must preserve the noble art of writing and reading”.

The event had guests such as General Manager Radio Nigeria One, Mrs. Funke Treasure Durodola, Divisional Director, Leadway Assurance, Mr. Bayo Okuwobi, Ty Fatungase, Founder, Terra Kulture, Mrs. Bolande Austen-Peters and a host of others.

On the impact of the books in the life of people, a guest, Yetunde Ogunseye stated, “What you say to people either upgrade them or downgrade them. Abraham has chosen to upgrade people through the books she has written; they are intelligent, they speak into one’s head. She is such a champion and trailblazer and has motivated us all to impact in the world with our God-given talents”.

Another guest, Yinka Ogunde, also indicated that Abraham has a positive message which should teach everyone to make impact wherever they are, adding, “Whatever you want to do even in the comfort of your home, an impact can be made. Books are no longer being read yet few people like Abraham strive on to write and publish despite those difficulties”.

Abraham expressed gratitude for the support and contributions of everyone present. She promised to do better in order to fulfill her God-given destiny and give to the world in every possible way.
