Passion for the youth with a heart of gratitude to God for the preservation of her life, are the virtues that played up in the mind of Ekene Zebulon Agomuo, culminating in releasing her second album titled: ‘Golden Worship’ on her birthday.

Agomuo, whose first album was ‘Great Confidence’, groaned about the unfortunate situation in Nigeria that does not guarantee youths’ future, as a result of which many of them have fled the country and are still leaving.

She, however, gave the assurance that with prayers of children of God and that of patriotic Nigerians, the country would come out of the quadmire and those youths that have fled the country would come back to a new Nigeria.

Agomuo, who also sees music as a veritable tool to reach out to the youth, said she would soon organise the second concert for youths of every strata that would immensely contribute to the national rebirth that Nigerians are yearning for.

“This album is Golden Worship because I am 50 today and I have named the album after my birthday. I passed through a lot just like any other person. However, I believe I should appreciate God who has been assisting me despite all odds. It has not been easy and yet God has helped me with the five recordings in this album with which the entire world would be blessed.

“Inspirations for the songs came mostly when I am in the Church listening to messages and I quickly put them down, hence I believe the songs would impact the lives of as many that listen to the lyrics for the better,” she said.

She cast aspersions on those taking advantage of the youth’s love for music and continued to produce rubbish for them because of money.

Agomuo expressed hope that gospel songs that would turn the lives of youths for the better would soon gain ground in Nigeria and the entire world with the help of God and the continued commitment of gospel singers to reach out to the youths.

Ekene, who had an encounter with the Lord between the ages of 16 and 18, is a songwriter, gospel singer, mother, wife, and teacher at the International School, University of Lagos.
