Be watchful and strengthen the things that remaineth – Part 4
Our Expected Response And The Danger Of Neglect
Everyone who is opportune to read this message is expected to apply all the admonition therein, because after rapture/death, there will be no more grace or mercy. And no one can stand the punishment or torture of the antichrist. It is only now that Grace abounds that one can attempt to endure the persecution and obtain mercy. And what you cannot have now cannot be got at the expiration of grace, for it will be very difficult to repent then. That is why you are warned to amend now before it is too late. After rapture, you will be subjected to the antichrist’s whims and caprices, when everything about you shall be controlled. Even if you choose to die instead of being punished by the antichrist, the death will not come. So, repent now and ensure nothing is standing between you and God. If you miss rapture, no amount of tears can save you. So, it is prudent you take this message very seriously and repent; otherwise, you will cry in vain before going to hell fire.
It is important we examine our lives to ascertain the areas we have derailed from the heavenly race and amend our ways. God’s Word as Mirror helps us to know where we are not in alignment with God’s Will.
All those laying claim to Christianity without living aright should, as a matter of urgency, amend their lives, today, by pleading for mercy and promising to sin no more. Remember that our God is of purer eyes to behold evil. Thus, we cannot continue to dwell in evil and still claim to be children of God.
Habakkuk 1: 13 says, “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?”
God is the embodiment of purity. So, you must endeavour to live in accordance with His nature. God does not dwell in evil, which is why you must do something to be on same page with His nature before it’s too late. So, if you are into any evil, you ought to repent and flee from it.
Matt. 5:8, 48 states, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God… 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
Purity of the heart is an essential ingredient in having a good relationship with God. You must ensure purity inside and outside, so that when that day shall come, you will see God and not be looking for opportunity to repent.
1Pet 1:15-16 says, “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
Let’s endeavour to ensure holiness inside and outside, in our thoughts, disposition, action, and comportment. God requires that we maintain holiness in every area of our lives and that’s what qualifies anyone to dwell in Him.
Rev. 21: 8 states, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Those that engage in wickedness, as mentioned above shall be cast into the lake of fire, except they repent. So, there’s need for total self-examination of your relationship with the Lord vis-à-vis the company you keep, business you do, what you say and your lifestyle and amend where it’s necessary before it’s too late. Remember that the Lord has called for amendment, when He instructed that we strengthen the things that remain.
Rev 2:5 says, “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”
Without repentance, reformation and total submission to God, our candlestick that ensures complete protection from God could be removed by Him, thus exposing us to the world’s wickedness. That is the reason the Scripture warns us about the danger of overlooking those things that could jeopardise our chances of making heaven at last. These include purity, righteousness, dedication and perseverance, among others. And failure to heed this warning can make the Lord to remove the candlestick. So, let’s do the needful now in line with the Lord’s directives.
Rev. 2:16 says, “Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.”
Take note, the Lord is calling for total amendment because now is the acceptable time, so you should not procrastinate. If you do not repent, you will definitely be among those that the Lord will cast into great tribulation. So, let’s obey God and keep His commandments. We should not be mindful of those that will pressure us into sin for God has assured He will deal with them.
Rev. 3:2-3 says, “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.”
The Lord is still emphasising the need for repentance because now is the acceptable time.
Rev. 3:19-20 says, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
A call for repentance than to be destroyed is an expression of love. God’s chastisement to correct you is a demonstration of the fact that you are very dear to Him. If only you would give heed to this instruction and amend your ways, I am assuring you the Lord will preserve and take you to glory in Jesus name. So, hearken to this admonition and run away from the consequential wrath of God. But if you remain adamant, then you should be ready for whatever might follow.
Matt 7:23 says, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
This will be His response to those who refused to repent. So, what will it profit you, if after all your commitment in this world, you are told you are not known and then cast into hell fire. Wisdom demands that you do away with anything that will make you miss heaven.
Mk 9:43-48 says, “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: 46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. 47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: 48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
I want to let you know that though parts of your body are very important to you, it’s better you get rid of any of them rather than allow it become the cause of your missing heaven or going to hell fire. It’s better to enter heaven without eyes, leg and hand, among others, than going to hell fire.
How Former Vikings Confraternity’s Member Was Arrested
My name is Bro. Stanley (surname withheld). I hail from Nsukka in Enugu State but reside in Abuja. I want to express appreciation on how I was delivered from lawful captivity by the God of Chosen. I am the only son of my parents, and while my mother is alive, my father is late. My father’s death left a vacuum in my life, as regards protection. I felt there was no man that could give me selfless protection again in life. So, in 2004, when I gained admission into the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), I did not hesitate to join the Vikings Confraternity, when I was introduced to it as a brotherhood that cares for members, even more than a blood brother. Although I later understood that their vision and objectives are evil, there was no longer an option, as disassociation attracts death penalty.
The situation was even worse, as my bosom friend was the chief executioner. His word was command and whatever he instructed would be carried out to the letter. He wanted me to always be by his side and even join them in any operation including assassination, kidnapping and robbery. But each time he came to invite me, I would find a way to decline or excuse myself from those acts. My mother severally asked that I leave cultism, but I refused.
It happened that after my NYSC, my former colleagues in the cult informed me of a cult war going on in Enugu and advised that I should not return home, until the tensed situation returned to normal, but I ignored the counsel and went home. Not quite long after I arrived home, one of our former members got killed a day after his marriage. The war was between Vikings and Black Axe Confraternities, which are the two bad cults in Enugu State.
So, after that war, I started seeking deliverance and how I could severe my membership of the cult. That led me to visiting many churches and prayer houses for deliverance and protection. I was still searching for a place of refuge, when a friend invited me to a programme titled: “JUBILEE FOR THE CAPTIVES” at the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry.
The programme was a monthly deliverance programme, which culminated in celebration of freedom by the participants. The theme was derived from God’s proclamation of freedom (Jubilee) for all Israelites, irrespective of the kind of bondage they were subjected to in the Bible days. In the course of preaching, the Pastor dwelled much on the Scriptural verses in the Book of Isaiah 49: 24-26 which states, “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? 25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. 26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.”
When the Pastor declared prophetically that God would on that day deliver and free all lawful captives, my heart was jolted because it was apparent I was a lawful captive, given the fact that I voluntarily submitted myself to the rules of the confraternity and should thus bear the consequences of my action. But the pastor preached, the word of God came like a thunderbolt and had all those negative inner thoughts broken. I felt the assurance of Satan being deprived of his prey, bound and cast into the pit; and all the power that was combined to enslave my conscience, destroyed. After the service, I felt like someone whose heavy burden had been lifted off his shoulder. Then, after a while, we were called to join the launch being organised by the Church in celebration of the Jubilee. It was as we were eating that I had a pressure to own up all the evil I had committed.
Brethren, at that juncture, I didn’t waste time confessing my initiation into the confraternity and all the nefarious acts I engaged in while I was with Vikings Confraternity. To openly make this confession evidenced that I had renounced my membership of the cult. I used to be a chain smoker and drunkard, but now detest the odour of both. I want to state here that the fact that our country is corrupt has to do with our politicians. Most governors are cult members. So, I would be happy to see them come out to renounce their cult membership. I thank God for granting me genuine salvation.
