Apostle Bisi Adedire of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church has advised Christians to lead a holy life worthy of emulation in all their dealings.

Adedire who gave the admonition at the yearly remembrance programme in honour of the late Prophet Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, who passed on March 11, 2015, said that living a righteous life as exemplified by the late Fakeye comes with essential rewards that include, answered prayers, divine protection, provision and divine blessings, help from above, generational preservation, everlasting remembrance, among others.

Adedire said that Fakeye was a righteous man filled with righteous deeds, which manifested in his character, competence and consistency.

“It is always said that ‘talent or gift can take you to the top, but what will keep you there is character.’ Baba Fakeye before his death remained at the top of his ministerial position because of the amazing character he possessed,” he said.

Adedire added that Baba Fakeye was a very humble man of God, whose integrity and passion for excellence endeared him to many people.

“We can’t forget his level of competence and composure to God’s work. As an apostle of evangelism, he was so graced by God that for several years he was on television and radio broadcasts. He taught people God’s word effortlessly. He was so good in his spiritual assignment that he became a national executive member of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN),” Adedire stated.

The cleric who spoke on the topic, “The reward for the righteous” urged people to embrace service to God and humanity, saying that there were rewards for such disposition.

He said: “You are rewarded for what you do and not what you are planning to do, or what you have determined to do. Every labour requires effort, time and denials. In other words, if you want to be righteous, be ready to pay the price.”
